Frank Schaefer, March 29-30, on Trials, LGBTQI People, Church, & Spiritual Identity

Frank Schaefer was defrocked in December of 2013 for performing his son’s same sex wedding. Love for his son trumped the rules of the church. What does it mean to maintain spiritual integrity in the face of pressures to act in a different way? How can the UMC have spiritual integrity with the rules it currently has? Frank Schaefer will speak about integrity, spiritual identity, and the importance of prophetic witness inside the church and throughout the world.

March 29, Open House Coffee with Frank Schaefer for United Methodists @ Woodland Park United Methodist Church (302 N 78th St, Seattle, WA 98103). You are invited to meet and greet Frank and to share frustrations, heartaches, and hopes with other United Methodists. The coffee is 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM. Please RSVP to thewellqueenanne (at) gmail (dot) com.

March 30, Preaching @ QAUMC, 10 AM service.
