Preschool

Did you know that tucked away in this safe and (sometimes) sunny neighborhood is a nurturing Christ-focused preschool?
Little Red Wagon Preschool

The purpose of The Little Red Wagon Preschool is to provide opportunities for children to grow socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually and spiritually in a warm, loving environment.

Our pastor, the Reverend Katie M, Ladd serves as chaplain to the children, leading chapel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Each chapel service includes a call to worship, a song, a story or lesson, and a prayer. Children learn about the church year, people from the Bible, what happens during worship, values like inclusivity and caring for God’s world, and they explore their own spiritual lives. Children are invited to think about the world around them and to engage in acts of charity and compassion, including participating in and learning about mission focus areas of the congregation. Each chapel service is designed to be accessible to children ages 2-5.

Little Red Wagon is a developmental preschool that believes children learn by doing. They learn by listening, touching, tasting and watching. Learning experiences are provided through art, music and movement, literature, science and dramatic play.

The children explore language, nature and the world around them. They paint, cook, build, slide, swing, run, sing, dress up, experiment, dance and share with friends. An emphasis is placed on readiness skills in math, reading, writing and problem solving.

The preschool has its own Web site. Please check it out here.
